The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> added 8.92 points, or 0.09 percent, to 10,047.30. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> dipped 0.09 points, or 0.01 percent, to 1,068.04. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was off 0.49 points, or 0.02 percent, to 2,147.38.
