"Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek has for decades brought a sense of humor and levity to his popular American game show, but Monday night he showed the world a new side to his talent. The longtime TV personality rapped songs from several popular hip hop hits during a special tournament targeted toward children and college students.

A category called “Let’s Rap Kids!” required contestants to name the rapper behind popular lyrics, providing Trebek an opportunity to recite lines from Kanye West’s “Famous,” Desiigner’s “Panda,” and Drake’s “Started From The Bottom.” He began with this clue for $200: "Started from the bottom now we're here, started from the bottom, now the whole team here." The answer, of course, was "Who is Drake?" The $1,000 clue was: "Panda, Panda...Panda, Panda, Panda Panda Panda." Correct Response: Who is Desiigner?

"I was just getting into this rap thing. I'm not too good at it, but I was getting into it," Trebek said just before going into a commercial break.

Desiigner later responded by tweeting fire and panda emojis. The official Jeopardy! Twitter account also tweeted after the show: "Alex spits on today's LET'S RAP, KIDS category!"

Trebek has hosted Jeopardy! since 1984, or before Drake and Desiigner were born. He has won five Daytime Emmy awards for Outstanding Game Show Host and holds a Guinness World Records record for Most Game Show Episodes Hosted by the Same Presenter. Like Drake, he is Canadian and loves turning bad girls into good girls, or so we imagine.

It should be no surprise that Trebek is a bigger baller than some of the rappers on Monday's episode. He has an estimated net worth of $50 million fueled by his annual salary of $10 million. Desiigner's net worth, in contrast, is estimated to be $4 million, in part because the New York rapper is so new to the game.
