From dealing with crimes to angry alligators, it's surely not an easy life for the police. Not just running after criminals, these people also have to capture alligators when they pop up in public spaces that could create panic among people. Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office shared a video last week in which one Louisiana sheriff deputy had a scary moment when an alligator snapped back at him with its mouth tied.

The video, which was posted on the official Facebook page of Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, has gone viral and has received almost 950 thousand views and has been shared more than 19,000 times. It was captioned: "Our deputies respond to all kinds of calls, from crime to gators! Side note, we're not sure if our deputy was screaming like that, but it sure sounded like it, haha."

The video shows one policeman taping the reptile's mouth and another one holding it so that it doesn't move; however, after it was taped, the one holding the gator's mouth begins to get up, the reptile then turns and lifts its head as if it is attacking the officer holding it down. The officer jumps instantly and screams only to realize that the creature's mouth has been sealed and there is no danger from it. He has a good laugh at his own self while his colleagues also join him. Meanwhile, the other police officer checks on the alligator again to make sure the tape was properly put around the mouth.

The footage received more than 1,500 comments out of which one said: "We need animal planet over here," and another said, "We're not laughing at you, but definitely laughing with you." One user said the scream sounded like a woman and others sympathized with the "poor" gator.

Police have to deal with all kinds of animals and when such videos are released, they go viral. In July, another video went viral which showed a scared police officer struggling to put a stray turtle inside a box. While catching thieves or handling a dangerous situation might not be that tough for him, the nabbing of this turtle certainly was! At first, another man showed the police officer the way to hold the turtle and put it in the box but that did not work. Then the police officer used a stick and tried to move the creature into the box, gradually succeeding.

In July, the bodycam footage of police officer, Alfredo Vargas, showed him wrestling an alligator outside a residential home in Hollywood, Florida. He reportedly tried to subdue it to prevent it from being killed by a trapper.

The Boynton Beach Police Department uploaded the video to YouTube with the caption: "The Gator Boys will be proud of this one." It further read: "A few weeks ago, Officer Alfredo Vargas responded to a call from a resident of Hunter’s Run who found an alligator laying by his front door. Watch Officer Vargas’ body camera video to see how he was able to safely secure the alligator."
