“American Crime” fans don’t have to wait until the New Year to start Season 2. ABC is letting fans watch the entire premiere episode with the click of a button.

“American Crime” Season 2, episode 1 is available on iTunes for free. Fans can watch the new story in standard or high definition as long as they have an iTunes account. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s only available in the U.S. at this time.

The anthology drama premiered earlier this year to much critical acclaim, and even landed Regina King an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress. The first season followed the the aftermath of a war veteran’s murder in California. The second season will take viewers to the Midwest, where two basketball players from a private school assault Taylor (Connor Jessup), a high school boy. He accuses them of drugging and raping him after inappropriate pictures of him are posted on social media.

Several cast members from the first season will return to play new characters. Felicity Huffman will play the private school’s headmaster, Timothy Hutton will be the basketball coach and Regina King will be the mother of one of the alleged attackers. The season will also bring in several new actors like André Benjamin, who is better known as André 3000 from the hip-hop group Outkast.

ABC likely hopes that more viewers will tune in to “American Crime” Season 2 after downloading the premiere. The first season, while critically acclaimed, didn’t have spectacular ratings. It averaged 4.98 million, according to TV Series Finale. ABC hits like “How to Get Away With Murder” and “Modern Family” have nearly double that. Giving away the first episode for free is a typical move to promote the show.

Those who don’t download the “American Crime” Season 2 premiere for free can wait for it to air on ABC on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at 10 p.m. EST.
