Amy Poehler was invited to speak to the Harvard class of 2011 on Wednesday as a part of Class Day.

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your beers. I can only assume I am here today because of my subtle and layered work in the timeless classic entitled 'Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.' And for that I say, 'You're Welcome,' Poehler began her speech.

Poehler offered funny words of wisdom to the recent graduates, making a number of references to her own alma matter Boston College.

I graduated from Boston College, which some call the Harvard of Boston, but we all know that Harvard is the Harvard of Harvard. And you can quote me on that, she said.

The Parks and Recreation actress offered advice to her audience including to always be kind, especially to parents.

Would it kill you to be nicer to your parents? she said. They have sacrificed so much for you and all they want is for you to smile and take a picture with your weird cousins. Do that for them. And with less eye-rolling, please. It is time to leave. Oprah has spoken!
