Red Bull has done it again. The energy drink company launched a YouTube video on Tuesday that soon went viral showing the world’s highest base jump. Russian extreme sport star Valery Rozov jumped from Mount Everest.

The 48-year-old thrill seeker made history when he flew off the north side of Mount Everest, jumping 23,688 feet above sea level. The original jump took place on May 5, Red Bull wrote on their website, after two years of planning.

It’s the first time anyone has base-jumped off the tallest mountain in the world since it was first scaled nearly 60 years ago. “Only when I got back home did I see how hard it was for me both physically and psychologically,” Rozov said to Red Bull after returning home to Moscow. When you look at the videos you realize that it took a lot longer than usual to get from falling to flying."

The temperature was a cool 65.5 degrees Fahrenheit when Rozov scaled the mountain in the beginning of May. Because of the high altitude, his freefall to flying transition was longer than normal, but after that the daredevil flew for more than a minute at nearly 125 mph and landed safely on Rongbuk Glacier, Red Bull wrote.

The video has already garnered more than 200,000 views after just being online for two days and attracted more than 300 comments. “Redbull: World's shortest videos for the world's most awesome things,” Nick Keck, who had one of the top-rated comments on the video, wrote.

Red Bull captivated internet audiences in October when Felix Baumgartner set a new world record with the Red Bull supersonic freefall from 128,100 feet in a helium-filled balloon. Baumgartner reached a maximum speed of 843.6 mph during his 4:20 minute freefall.
