Wednesday marked the legendary children's book author birthday, and the day before was Justin Bieber's 17th birthday.

Dr. Suess, best known for his rhyming words and inspirational sayings, would have celebrated his 107th birthday March 2.

Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, published 44 children's books often including imaginative characters and quirky sayings.

Some of his bestselling books include Green Eggs and Ham,' The Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Horton Hears a Who! and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. A number of his books have been adapted into television specials, feature films and a Broadway musical.

Bieber participated in America's Biggest Bedtime Story event by reading The Cat in the Hat. More than 500,000 people participated in America's Biggest Bedtime Story hosted by Bieber. The annual event is created by Pizza Hut BOOK IT. Pizza Hut donated $25,000 to Pencils of Promise, an organization that helps bring basic education to the developing world.
