A nurse was filmed singing to a dying patient at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville Monday.

Margaret Smith, 63, was reportedly informed by her doctors that she was too sick with cancer to undergo a liver transplant surgery she needed. Nurse Olivia Neufelder, 23, decided to sing Dani and Lizzy's "Dancing in the Sky" to cheer Smith up. The video has gone viral since it hit the Internet.

"Miss Marg has touched my heart in such an indescribable way," Neufelder wrote on Facebook Monday. "I am so humbled and honored to be a Nurse. My thoughts and prayers are forever with this amazing family."

"This nurse sat with my mom for hours while the medicine from too much Anesthesia and sang a very special song to my sweet mother to comfort her," Megan Smith, the patient's daughter, wrote on Facebook Monday. "You never left her side by choice!! Words cannot describe the appreciation and love we feel for nurse Olivia who mom calls her angel!"

Megan Smith added, "Your dedication to your patients is beyond any that I have seen, you truly are a beam of light and I cannot thank you enough for the compassion and care and love you shared for my mother."

Smith was later transported to a nursing home where she died Wednesday, according to WTVF. Smith had reportedly suffered from liver cancer for about a year.

A fundraising campaign was published to GoFundMe to help pay for Smith's remaining medical expenses. The page says that "the insurance she has is not going to pay for any of her service."
