A jarring video surfaced Wednesday allegedly showing man in South Yorkshire, England under the influence of the drug “spice.” The man appears motionless and zombie-like in the video, hunched over with his hands motionless in front of him.

The man was standing in the middle of the street in the video as the person recording approached him.

“Who the f--- is this guy?” the person behind the camera can be heard saying. “We got a zombie nation on spice!”

Throughout the conversation, the man appears motionless and does not respond to the person recording him. All through the 30-second clip, he does not move until he stands up straighter at the end but remains silent.

“Do you know where you are?” said the person recording. “Do you know what the f--- you’re doing?”

The footage was posted by Joshua Verhees on the Doncaster Uncovered Facebook page alongside the caption "Day of the Dead: Doncaster Edition. It's about time the Council did their job and shifted these characters off our town's streets." It had more than 56,000 views and 450 shares as of this story’s publication.

Spice is apparently a mix of herbs and manmade chemicals akin to synthetic marijuana, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse for Teens. The effects, however, are much more severe than those that arise from marijuana use. The drug can cause violent behavior, suicidal thoughts, heart attacks, confusion, anxiety, raised heart rate and even death.
