President Donald Trump is no stranger to using his six-year-old granddaughter Arabella Kushner's skillful command of the Chinese language as a part of U.S.-Chinese diplomacy, and he did not deter from using the same tactic while meeting with President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday.

The president proudly showed off a video of the six-year-old singing in Mandarin and reciting Chinese poetry from the ancient verses of Confucius, while meeting with Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan on Wednesday.

In the video, Arabella, the daughter of first daughter Ivanka Trump and senior White House advisor Jared Kushner, is seen wearing a traditional silk embroidered Chinese dress and addressing China's president and first lady as 'Grandpa Xi' and 'Grandma Peng', and bows in respect as she offers a greeting to the camera.

"Hello, Grandpa Xi. Hello, Grandma Peng," Arabella is heard saying in Mandarin at the beginning of the video, which appeared to have been filmed in the White House, with Trump's granddaughter standing in front of the American Flag in a wood-paneled room.

Arabella continues to show off her language skills in video clip, which also features English subtitles, and is heard saying in Mandarin: "Hello everyone, let me sing a song."

At first, she is heard singing what sounds like a traditional Chinese folk song about the country's beautiful landscapes and lush natural sites. After the song, she moves on to a poetry performance, reciting ancient Chinese poems and making several hand gestures during her recitation to illustrate the lines.

After watching the video, the Chinese president said Arabella deserved an "A-plus" for her performance. He also added she is considered a "child star" in China and he hopes she would visit soon, the New York Post reported.

This was not the first time Arabella had performed in Mandarin in front of the Chinese president. Earlier in April this year, Arabella sang in person in front of Xi Jinping and his wife when the duo visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.
