Michigan quarterback Brandon Peters was taken off the field on a medical cart after sustaining an injury Saturday in a loss to the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers, 24-10. Peters reportedly underwent tests on his head after heading to the locker room.

The redshirt freshman was tackled by linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel in the third quarter after throwing an incomplete pass. Van Ginkel immediately motioned for Michigan's medical team to come their way and provide assistance. Peters managed to sit up for a few minutes on the field before using the assistants help to get into the cart.

"Brandon Peters has been carted off to the locker room," Michigan wrote on Twitter Saturday. "We're ALL thinking of him."

Michigan players took a knee as they watched trainers provide aid to Peters before he was carted off the field. Team officials have not specified Peters' injury. He was later seen in a wheelchair in the stadium tunnel, where he was met by his parents.

After the game, head coach Jim Harbaugh said that Peters was getting tests at the hospital.

Before leaving the game, Peters had completed 9-of-18 passes for 157 yards. He was replaced by fifth-year senior John O'Korn.
