Two videos, spotted by Apple Insider, appear to show how the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7s could look like when they release this fall.

One of the clips, uploaded on YouTube by Danny Winget, shows an alleged iPhone 7s Plus prototype.

The iPhone 7s dummy is similar to the bezel design and dimensions on the current iPhone 7 Plus. However, the alleged prototype has a glass black, which could be used for its rumored wireless charging technology. The unit also seems to show slimmer antenna lines than current iPhones.

The iPhone 7s dummy shows the "Conformité Européenne" (CE) engraving on the back of the device and battery disposal iconography. The digitized regulatory markings that are found on the iPhone 7 were moved to the iPhone 7s’ settings, leaving only the iPhone logo, "Designed in California Assembled in China," information about the model number, FCC identifier and IC code.

In the video, Winget compares the iPhone 7s plus alongside the alleged iPhone 8 dummy unit. The devices are different in size, but the iPhone 8 sports almost no bezels. The bezels on the iPhone 8 are white, which differs from previous rumors that said the device’s face color options would be limited to black at first. The device fuels others rumors that point to an embedded Touch ID.

The second video was posted on the the Dutch site Techtastic, which claims to show an iPhone 8 chassis and front screen. The device’s front and back is all black, except the engravings on the rear of the device. The unit has no home button and shows a vertically-aligned dual-camera system.

Home Button

Information about the iPhone 8’s alleged Touch ID was found in the upcoming HomePod’s firmware. iOS developer Steve Troughton-Smith tweeted Wednesday that users will have the ability to resize the home button on the screen and will also be able to hide it. He also said there is no API to change the home button’s color, which means it’ll be able to adapt to background colors. The home button will also have tab bars that will extend under it.

Release Date

This week, Korean site The Investor claimed the iPhone 8’s release date will be delayed. The report said Apple is still undecided on some design features and hardware. The site said the iPhone 8 will likely be revealed in November, while the iPhone 7s devices will be launched in September.

Meanwhile, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said all three devices will be launched in September, but the iPhone 8 will be released in limited quantities. The analyst said this year’s lineup will come in only three colors: black, silver and gold.

The iPhone 8, which could also be called the iPhone X, iPhone Pro or iPhone Edition, is rumored to come with an OLED display and a 3D-sensing front camera.

The device will be priced at more than $1,000, according to Goldman Sachs analysts.
