Has “Westworld” Season 2 wrapped up filming? It appears so, especially since lead star Evan Rachel Wood just posted on Instagram that she’s beyond exhausted after filming 10 episodes over the past six months.

Fans thanked Wood for all her hard work in the show, and they expressed excitement to catch the new episodes. “Thank you for the hard work! You’re tremendously good in it!” a fan praised the actress. “You deserve a holiday on the moon,” another fan told Wood.

To recall, the first season of the sci-fi show from HBO only had 10 episodes, so it’s likely that Season 2 would follow suit. Given Wood’s post, it’s safe to assume that her character, Dolores Abernathy, will appear in all 10 episodes of the sophomore season.

When the show returns, Wood’s character is going to undergo a complete transformation since she will no longer be the timid host who lets people push her around. Wood said Dolores will use her past trauma to draw strength and fight back against her oppressors - including her former flame, William (Jimmi Simpson), who grew up to become the Man in Black (Ed Harris).

“Dolores is multifaceted; she’s obviously an artificial being but what the show explores is what consciousness even is,” Wood told Forbes. “The experiences she’s having are very real; the trauma is real; the pain is real. What's to say her pain isn't any different than ours?”

“She’s a survivor; she’s been abused for about 30 years ... she’s been knocked down so many times and she comes back even stronger,” Wood added.

The first season of the HBO show was already filled with a lot of shocking twists and turns, but Wood told Entertainment Tonight that the second season will not disappoint fans since it is actually “twice as ambitious as the first season.”

Wood guaranteed that the second season will live up to fans’ expectations, the same way it lived up to hers. “I didn’t think the show could shock me and it continues to do so,” she explained. “It’s going to be everything and more.”

“Westworld” Season 2 premieres on HBO in Spring 2018.
