“Westworld” Season 2 is beefing up its pool of characters as the HBO show has added three exciting new players.

According to Variety, “Vikings” star Gustaf Skarsgård, known for his role as Floki in the History series, will be a series regular in “Westworld” together with Fares Fares. Betty Gabriel will also join the cast in a recurring role.

Skarsgård will play Karl Strand, a white-collar guy who is said to be comfortable in the field. Fares, who made appearances in “Tyrant” and “Rogue One,” will play Antoine Costa, a tech expert. Meanwhile, Gabriel will bring to life Maling, a person determined to restore order on the ground.

They aren't the first additions to the sci-fi show, since the sophomore season of “Westworld” already got Katja Herbers from “Manhattan” to play Grace, “a seasoned guest in Westworld whose latest visit comes at the park’s darkest hour,” according to Deadline.

Earlier, Jonathan Tucker and Neil Jackson also landed recurring roles. Aside from the new additions, some familiar faces are expected to return. Two Season 1 stars — Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum — have been promoted to series regulars for next season.

Anthony Hopkins’ Dr. Robert Ford also played an integral role last season. But because he was killed off by Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood), show creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have been trying to figure out how to get him back. Thankfully, they came up with the perfect solution.

“I think there will be an opportunity to explore a little bit more of the backstory of how this park came to be, a little more of that story,” Nolan told Digital Spy. “We’ll see the character’s presence will be felt in that sense in terms of filling in a few more of the gaps about the early history of this place.”

The only concern Nolan has right now is how to fit Hopkins into the show, given his busy schedule. “He’s a busy guy, so we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“Westworld” Season 2 premieres on HBO in spring 2018.
