People only got to see little of Louis Herthum’s character, Peter Abernathy, during “Westworld” Season 1.

After he saw a photograph of the Man in Black’s wife, he began malfunctioning, therefore prompting the staff of Westworld to replace him so the other hosts won’t feel anything is amiss.

But next season, the mysteries surrounding Peter will be unfolded one by one as Deadline reported that Herthum has just been promoted as a recurring guest star in six episodes.

He’s not the only star who has been promoted for next season. Talulah Riley, who played host Angela in the first season, has also been promoted to series regular, according to Entertainment Weekly. Angela is the greeter-host in Westworld, and she was introduced as a different host in a different narrative in the latter part of the series. According to the report, Angela is “a host whose beatific face welcomed guests to Westworld for decades. Angela will prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see.”

Unfortunately, the fate of Jimmi Simpson’s character, young William, still remains indefinite up to this point. William endeared a lot of fans during the first season, especially since he won the heart of the female lead, Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood). Sadly, William became a more sinister individual inside the park, and he grew up to become the Man in Black (Ed Harris).

The Man in Black is a regular guest at Westworld who enjoys beating up hosts. When asked if there’s any hope for young William to appear, Simpson told GQ, “If they have more for William, I would assume it would be a whole new kind of story. Because I feel like this story, the love affair [with Evan Rachel Wood’s character, Dolores], we know everything, we know what happens, we don’t have to belabor that point.”

“Westworld” Season 2 will return to HBO in 2018.
