Maybe Mother Nature was just trying to play through.

After two inches of snow dropped in just over an hour in Arizona, Round 1 of the Match Play Championship is reportedly set to resume on Thursday afternoon.

Officials suspended play on Wednesday after a winter storm hit, and 10 matches hadn’t even begun yet, according to the Associated Press.

The first scheduled match will be between Peter Hanson and Thomas Bjorn, and will start at 2:10 p.m. ET, according to Golf.com. There will then be 10-minute intervals between start times.

Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy will tee-off at 3 p.m. and Tiger Woods is tentatively supposed to resume at 3:20 p.m.

The forecast projects the temperature, which hovered near freezing overnight, to pick up into the mid-50s later in the afternoon.
