“America’s Got Talent” has certainly opened a lot of doors for Season 11 winner Grace VanderWaal.

While on the show, VanderWaal received praise for her original songs and memorable performances not only from “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B, but also from artists such as Stevie Nicks. It’s no surprise that she's getting a big jumpstart for her singing career. The 12-year-old artist’s deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Music landed at Sony Music’s Columbia Records, which also manages several big stars including Beyoncé, Adele, One Direction, Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and more, Teen Vogue reported.

Cowell recently talked about VanderWaal’s future plans during an interview with Billboard, where he said, “It’s a lot to take in, but I’ve got to hand it to her. She’s a very smart, calm, focused girl and I think she knows what she wants to achieve and what we always say to artists in this situation is it’s not a race.”

Aside from signing with a record label, the “I Don’t Know My Name” singer will also headline three shows in the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from Oct. 27 to 29. “America’s Got Talent” acts Tape Face and The Clairvoyants will join VanderWaal during the three dates. However, there are still more things in store for the young singer next year, according to Cowell.

“There is something. A much, much bigger announcement coming soon, which is separate from this. But that will be for, I’m guessing, 18 months time. But for the moment it is the short term residency for those three acts. That’s the only commitment so far,” he told the publication.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Sept. 21, VanderWaal made a guest appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where she impressed the host and the audience with her impression of Cowell. While explaining what the judge meant when he called VanderWaal the next Taylor Swift, the singer said in her best British accent, “He was just like, 'And that's what I meant when I called you the next Taylor Swift. Not because you look like her, not ‘cause you sound like her.’”

“And he said it's because he's worked with Taylor Swift, and she's strong, and knows her opinion, and he said that's how he feels about me,” she continued.
