Pop sensation Miley Cyrus was forced to cancel Tuesday's tour date at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., after she had to be hospitalized. The 21-year-old singer required emergency treatment for an allergic reaction to antibiotics, The Kansas City Star reported.

“Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bangerz’ tour date scheduled for tonight, April 15, at Sprint Center in Kansas City has been canceled,” a statement from the venue said. “Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled.

“Refunds for tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.”

Cyrus has been sick for the past couple of days and shared on Twitter that she wasn’t feeling well. Early Tuesday morning she wrote that she had a fever. On Monday she shared that she was “feeling no beuno” [sic] and had a cough.

According to The Kansas City Star, Sprint Center spokeswoman Shani Tate Ross said the “Adore You” singer’s crew began to set up for the show in the arena at 5 a.m. Even if her earliest intention was to perform for Tuesday night’s show, she’s been sick for at least a week.

Last Monday the pixie-haired starlet announced that one of her favorite pets, her dog Floyd, passed away. This prompted the notorious twerker to cancel her show in Charlotte, N.C., just 30 minutes before it was supposed to kick off.
