The search for missing teen Elizabeth Thomas and her alleged kidnapper Tad Cummins, who was her former teacher, has been ongoing for weeks. As new details continue to emerge in the kidnapping of the 15-year-old, here are some quick details that have surfaced so far about the case.

1. Elizabeth went missing on March 13 prompting Tennessee law enforcement authorities to issue an Amber Alert for the teen.

2. After doubts were raised of her ex-teacher being involved in her abduction, Maury County’s Culleoka Unit School — where Elizabeth is a student — fired Cummins from his job as a health science teacher.

3. School documents dated Jan. 23 showed a student saw Cummins and Elizabeth kissing. The incident was later reported to authorities.

4. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation listed Cummins under the state’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” for the suspected abduction of Elizabeth.

5. Amid Cummins' disappearance along with his teenage student, his wife, Jill, filed for divorce last month citing “irreconcilable differences” and alleged he was “guilty of inappropriate marital conduct.”

6. On March 30, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released a video footage showing the pair at a Wal-Mart store in Oklahoma City on March 15. "The surveillance images of Cummins and Thomas – the first obtained by investigators since the alleged kidnapping on March 13th – clearly show Tad Cummins with an altered appearance to darken his hair. The same images show Elizabeth may currently have red hair. Efforts to determine what vehicle they were traveling in remain ongoing," authorities said in a release.

7. Several false reports have surfaced about the sighting of Elizabeth and Cummins, including the recent one Thursday at Milwaukee airport. According to local reports, a passenger aboard a flight from Milwaukee to Minneapolis reported seeing Elizabeth and Cummins, but when police rushed to the airport they found it to be a false alarm.

8. Elizabeth’s father Anthony Thomas said in a recent petition that Cummins was a “masterfully manipulating predator” who pressured his teenage student to go out with him by threatening her with “repercussions at school.”

9. Elizabeth’s father also said in the petition that at least two witnesses — both minors — from his daughter's school have information that may help authorities find the teenager.

10. Some theories, which have been cited in a court filing, suggest that Cummins convinced Elizabeth to leave with after making her feel guilty of the kissing incident.

11. Elizabeth had reportedly told her siblings and friends that she was frightened of Cummins.
