Rizzoli & Isles
Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander (both pictured here) are enjoying some much-needed rest and relaxation after the series finale of “Rizzoli & Isles.” TNT

After seven seemingly short seasons, TNT chose to end “Rizzoli & Isles” on a high note. The series which starred Angie Harmon as the tough-as-nails detective Jane Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander as the sophisticated Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles is still missed by fans after it ended last year.

After seven years of giving fans fun, drama, interesting cases and lots of girl power, what has the cast been up to since the show’s series finale?

Well, 44-year-old Harmon has just wrapped up hosting a children’s gala over the weekend. She spent her Saturday and Sunday being a part of the community and enjoying her time with children, friends and lots of laughter.

The mother of three daughters is enjoying her time off after adhering to a hectic shooting schedule for seven years. She explored an underwater cave, drank a cocktail by the pool and got some much-need rest and relaxation. Even Detective Rizzoli needs a break!

Similarly, Harmon’s former co-star has also been enjoying her time off. Alexander recently role played with a group of aspiring directors, enjoyed some wine and sun bathed on a beach in Los Angeles. The 43-year-old American actress also flaunted some serious dance moves at a class. Also, she finally got to spend some time with her adorable puppy, Margaux. Aw.

Bruce McGill, who played Jane’s partner and mentor Vince Korsak in “Rizzoli & Isles,” recently starred in an episode of CBS’ long-running crime procedural, “NCIS.” He played an irritated war veteran that proved to be an asset in an investigation.

“Rizzoli & Isles” may have ended but Harmon, Alexander and McGill’s journey on the small screen is far from over. Hopefully, after some rest and relaxation, these stars will be back to playing interesting characters on a TV show.
