When “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul won the Emmy Monday for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama, he brought attention to his wife Lauren Parsekian’s charity. The Kind Campaign is a nonprofit organization that aims to combat girl-against-girl bullying.

The campaign describes its mission on its website, as quoted by Starcasm:

“Over the years, the vicious ways in which females treat each other have become societal norms, with various media outlets that mock and even glamorize the issue. What we often choose to ignore is the fact that these experiences very often lead to depression, anxiety, loss of self worth, eating disorders, drug abuse, alcoholism, attempted suicide and actual suicide in millions of girls lives… We are suggesting something very simple: to STOP the competition, STOP the cattiness, STOP the hate, and to BE KIND.”

Even though Paul is the better-known partner in the marriage, he said Parsekian is the one who makes the bigger difference in the world as one of the founders of the Kind Campaign. When he mentioned the charity at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, the site was immediately flooded and service was temporarily unavailable.

Twitter users began to comment the site had crashed from the attention it received. Some people wrote that donors flocked to the Kind Campaign in response to Paul’s acceptance speech.

"I couldn't be more proud of her. I feel so blessed to be able to share this evening with her -- let's be honest, I feel blessed to share any evening with her,” Paul said at the Open Hearts Foundation’s annual gala in May, according to The Indy Channel. "The back of my head hurts from smiling so much. I always sit back and applaud her on a day-to-day basis. It's nice to see everyone else applaud her tonight."
