Viewers of Lifetime’s “Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition” will finally get to see the conclusion they’ve been waiting for. Two months after the network mysteriously failed to air the season finale, the last episode of the therapy docuseries will premiere next month. Find out when to tune in!

Though Lifetime has yet to include the listing on its online schedule, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports fans will get to see the final episode on Tuesday, July 5. Episode 8, titled “Goodbyes Are Never Easy,” will not air during prime time, so make sure to set your DVR to record at 4 p.m. EDT.

“Thank you to all of you who waited so patiently to see what happened,” star and counseling psychologist Dr. Debbie Magids, who has treated the six famous mother-daughter duos, wrote on Twitter of the finale release date. Her post came weeks after she confirmed to fans the show wasn’t canceled and that she was “bummed” about the finale delay.

It’s unknown why Lifetime failed to air the finale until now — the last episode aired April 22 — but the delay is rumored to have been caused by one of the show’s leads. Krista Keller, the mother of model and former teenage bride Courtney Stodden, threatened to sue Lifetime and the show’s production company in March ahead of the series’ premiere. A cease and desist letter from Keller’s lawyer, obtained by Fox411, called the show’s trailer “damaging defamation” and accused the promo of implying Keller “used her teenage daughter as bait to lure teenage boys for herself.” The note also accused the production, Courtney and her husband, Doug Hutchinson, who made a cameo on the series, of conspiring to manipulate Keller’s comments on camera to “knowingly air the untruths, lies and distortions of statements.”

No matter the issues behind the scenes, viewers can definitely expect a drama-filled finale. According to TV Guide’s synopsis for episode 8, the mother-daughter duos may not leave the experiment on the right foot. The summary teases Karen Nunn and her daughter Natalie Nunn will “hit rock bottom.” While it is unknown what will happen to “Real Housewives” alum Kim Richards during the episode, the synopsis states she will be tended to by paramedics after she “almost passes out during therapy.” Elsewhere, one daughter will leave the show without her mother.
