The 2014 midterm elections will take place across the U.S. Tuesday, and the outcome of the races could change the political landscape in Washington, D.C. But before you can vote, you need to find out where your polling place is, so we've compiled a helpful breakdown of all the state websites designed to help you figure out exactly where you are registered to cast your ballot.

Every registered voter in America has an assigned polling station based on the address that appears on their voter registration. But sometimes the information about where you will pull a lever, press a button or punch a hole is not readily available.

So please consult the list below for a guide to the websites that will tell you how to find your polling place in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Click the link provided for your state and follow the listed instructions to determine where you'll be voting Nov. 4. If you encounter any problems voting once you arrive at your assigned polling station, call the 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683), 1-888-VE-Y-VOTA or 1-888-API-VOTE hotlines for further assistance:
