Kate Gosselin and her brood of eight children made their triumphant return to TLC with their reality-TV special “Kate Plus 8” earlier this month sans ex-husband and dad Jon Gosselin. While Jon, 37, has not appeared on the series — originally titled “Jon and Kate Plus 8”— since 2009, that hasn’t stopped fans from questioning where the father of eight is now.

Five years after divorcing Kate, 39, and cutting ties with TLC, Jon has landed a gig working as a celebrity DJ. According to a report from Lehigh Valley Live, he will make his debut at Sportsmen's Café in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at 8 p.m. on Feb. 6. Those aiming to catch a glimpse of the former reality star will have to cough up $5 for the cover charge and be over 21 years of age. The restaurant/dive bar has confirmed Jon’s upcoming appearance on its Facebook page.

Jon’s new career comes on the heels of several miscellaneous jobs he has picked up in recent years. In February 2014, he starred on Season 4 of VH1’s reality program “Couples Therapy” alongside his now ex-girlfriend Liz Janetta. During that appearance, he was criticized for saying Kate “can go and f---ing die” after engaging in a heated phone conservation with his ex on the series. His children with Kate — twins Maddie and Carrie, 14, and 10-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Leah, Joel, Alexis and Hannah, did not make an appearance on the show.

Prior to his jump back into reality television, Jon tried his hand at holding down a 9-to-5 job. After a brief stint as a construction worker, Kate revealed in an August 2013 interview with People Magazine that Jon was working in information technology. “Jon and Kate Plus 8” viewers will remember that Jon previously worked as an IT professional during the series’ heyday in 2008.

Unfortunately for Jon, it appears his office job didn’t work out. One month after Kate’s magazine interview, Jon revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he was working as a waiter at the establishment Black Dog. “At first, I was nervous because I was like, ‘How are people going to react?'” Jon said of his gig. “But then, I’m thinking, ‘Well, it’s fun and I get to talk to people. And they technically already know me.”

So why the restaurant business? According to Jon, it was nearly impossible for him to find a job elsewhere. “I’ve hit rock-bottom like 20 times and then I bounce back again,” he said.

Despite being thankful for his restaurant job, he was allegedly fired in May 2014 for failing to show up for his scheduled shifts. “He had no work ethic and felt he could come and go as he pleased,” a source told Radar Online. After leaving the restaurant, he was said to have ventured into sales, working for a company that “managed credit card swipes for businesses.”

Jon was most recently spotted on the set of an upcoming “Kate Plus 8” episode in October. Much to Kate’s visible dismay, he was photographed attending the Gosselin family’s charity yard sale near their hometown in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. Despite being present for the event, promo photos for the episode indicate that TLC will most likely not feature him in the installment.
