Xur This Week
"Destiny" players will be excited to learn Xur is selling the Zhalo Supercell this week. Bungie

It wouldn't be the weekend without Xur returning to "Destiny." The Agent of the Nine has set up shop from 5 a.m. EDT Friday to 5 a.m. EDT Sunday. Xur recently hit a bit of a rough patch with some lackluster equipment, and this week is only slighter better. While the merchant does have a weapon many players may want in stock, other items have been offered previously.

Xur returned to the Tower to the left. After making your way through a few corridors into the open area, the merchant can be found by the railing. Last week was all about armor, but "Destiny" players should be pretty happy with this week's selection of gear. The Zhalo Supercell, previously sold in October, makes its highly anticipated return.

Xur Exotic Items For Sale

  • Helmet: An Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan)
  • Leg Armor: Radiant Dance Machines (Hunter)
  • Helmet: Obsidian Mind (Warlock)
  • Weapon: Zhalo Supercell
  • Legacy Heavy Weapon Engram
  • Glass Needles
  • Three of Coins

If players were debating whether to pick up the An Insurmountable Skullfort helmet for their Titan last week, Xur gave them an additional week to decide. Luckily, the Titan helmet is the only repeat armor for sale. The Radiant Dance Machines gives players a boost in movement while aiming, increased strength, increased intellect and a perk to increase the amount of sniper rifle ammo found in "Destiny."

For the Warlock class, the Obsidian Mind helmet reduces the cooldown of the Nova Bomb after an enemy kill. Most people will be spending their Strange Coin on the Zhalo Supercell. The weapon gives arc projectiles a chance to hit multiple enemies using chain lightning. Additional perks include reduced recoil and increased accuracy with longer usage.

Fans have been clamoring for something new to do in "Destiny," a complaint further emphasized by the popularity of "Tom Clancy's The Division." As more players get bored with "Destiny," there's a chance they won't come back to the game even with significant updates. Bungie announced their big update will launch April 12. The "Destiny" Update 2.2.0 will include new PVE challenges, new gear, a new quest, increased Max Light level and additional updates to Sandbox and Crucible.

Bungie will unveil new details for the April update in upcoming Twitch streams with the March 23 broadcast offering a preview of the new things to do in "Destiny."
