Apple’s App Store Hits 25 Billion Downloads Apple

Where's My Water? can help an Apple fan win $10,000? Sound like a joke or dream, right? However, not for Chunli Fu of Qingdao, China. Fu accidentally became the 25 billionth downloader when she downloaded the Where's My Water? app and has won the grand prize - a $10,000 gift certificate.

The tech giant celebrated a major milestone - 25 billion apps downloads for all the iDevices and announced on the official site Monday that the winner of the App Store Countdown to 25 Billion Apps is Chunli Fu, who downloaded the free version of Disney's water-based physics game Where's My Water?

Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, expressed the thanks to the customers in the announcement.

“We’d like to thank our customers and developers for helping us achieve this historic milestone of 25 billion apps downloaded,” Cue said. “When we launched the App Store less than four years ago, we never imagined that mobile apps would become the phenomenon they have, or that developers would create such an incredible selection of apps for iOS users.”

The game Where's My Water? is one of the most popular games in the App Store. This deceptively simple puzzle is not only interesting, but also challenging, and requires intelligence. The users should try their best to let Swampy (the alligator mascot of the game) take a shower. Not surprisingly, there are many obstacles to overcome - algae, toxic ooze, triggers, and traps. The game has four themed chapters, each with 20 different levels.
