“Fifty Shades Darker” star Bella Heathcote is engaged to director Andrew Dominik.

According to E! News, the Australian actress first sparked engagement rumors when she was photographed leaving Sydney airport with a ring on her finger. Last week, the actress posted a photo on Instagram which was taken on Lily Collins’ birthday. In the snap, Heathcote showed off the sparkly engagement ring while sticking her tongue out in front of the camera.

Heathcote has been in a relationship with Dominik for six years. The 49-year-old director was previously engaged to actress Robin Tunney, but they split in 2010. A few months later, Dominik and Heathcote started dating each other.

Before Dominik, Heathcote was linked to Brad Pitt. While speaking with T magazine in 2012, the actress said that she found the rumor to be “hilarious.” “I remember being in New York when it happened and my friend sent me an e-mail saying, ‘I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!’ And then I went to Duane Reade and it was in Star magazine. But I wasn’t bothered because it was just so far from the truth – it was hilarious to me,” she said.

Meanwhile, Heathcote, 29, played the role of Leila Williams in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequel. After its successful run in theaters across the world, the actress admitted that she was very nervous because fans had high expectations for her portrayal of the character. “I was never, to be honest, about the fans. I was worried that I’d disappoint them, or not live up to the idea that they had in their minds of who she should be,” she told InStyle Australia.

“Fifty Shades Darker” raked in a total of $146 million during its worldwide debut.
