A man was arrested outside the White House Thursday for trying to fly a drone over the fence near the president's home, CNN reported. The remote-controlled aerial device took off from a park north of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The park on the north side of the executive mansion was placed on lockdown after Secret Service agents detained the drone operator.

At the time of the incident, U.S. President Barack Obama was meeting with leaders from six Gulf States at Camp David, a presidential retreat located in the Maryland mountains about 60 miles from Washington, D.C. Obama scheduled the summit after announcing the framework of a proposed nuclear deal with Iran.

Obama is expected to grant some security requests of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council in return for Arab support for the Iran deal, the Wall Street Journal said. The representatives from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have expressed concern a nuclear deal with their Middle East rival would bolster Iran and destabilize the region.
