Ariel Camacho, a widely known Mexican singer, was killed in a car accident in Mexico Wednesday, according to Spanish-language media reports. The singer from the Spanish musical group Los Plebes del Rancho was with two other people when his vehicle crashed. At least one other person was killed and two were injured.

Camacho's vehicle was likely speeding and lost control while driving on a curving road, according to media reports. The vehicle landed in a canal. Los Plebes del Rancho's hits included “Hablemos claro,” “Toro encartado” y “El Karma.” His music was distributed through Sony Music US Latin.

Camacho was 22. Twitter users mourned his death Wednesday and he became a trending topic in the United States. Camacho was in a serious car accident last year that also involved high speeds. After his car crashed into a tree, he asked his fans at the time for their support. "Thank you everyone for your prayers and messages," he said.

His fans celebrated his good looks, style and romantic persona Wednesday on social media.
