After a rocky couple of months, Britney Spears is now rumored to be moving from her recent split with manager Jason Trawick.
According to entertainment gossip site Celebuzz, Spears’ new beau is David Lucado, a 27-year-old legal contractor from Virginia. The two have been rumored to be dating since at least before Valentine’s Day, when they were spotted at dinner together.
Sources said that Spears is falling fast for her new flame. "Since meeting David, Britney has been in the best mood. ... They've spent almost every day together,” a source told People magazine.
Lucado’s aunt Gayle Lucado told Celebuzz that her nephew was a “sweet guy” and all-around family man.
“He’s a real sweet guy. He’s tall and handsome and strong,” Lucado said. “He’s a family guy. He loves his mom and his grandmother, and he loves kids. For Christmas, he dressed up as Santa for all the kids. They just love him.
“He’s an outgoing guy,” she added. “He loves living in different places and likes to be adventuresome.”
Lucado’s aunt also added that Spears wasn’t the only one in the relationship who was recovering from a recent breakup.
“All I know is he was getting over an old girlfriend, so he wasn’t looking for a relationship,” Lucado said. “The family is surprised.”
Spears and Trawick, who met in 2006 when he was representing her, were engaged for a year before officially calling off their wedding in January. While reports have conflicted over why they went their separate ways, most sources seem to agree that Spears’ conservatorship was an ongoing source of conflict in the relationship. “It really wasn’t Britney’s decision to announce the split last week; it was [Spears' father] Jamie who made the call, a source with knowledge of the situation told RadarOnline in January.
“Jason wanted out, and, in the fragile state that Britney is in, it’s not like he could have a rational conversation with her about it, so it was really between him and Jamie," the source said. "They decided how the relationship needed to end and how to go about the technicalities, such as removing Jason from the conservatorship, when he would move out and how to announce the split. Britney was left out of everything and really didn’t even know what was going on.”
