“Bachelorette” alum Emily Maynard finally found her happily ever after when she married Tyler Johnson in a secret wedding on Saturday, Us Weekly reported. It seems searching for love without the microscope of reality television cameras turned out to be in Maynard’s best interest.

"God brought us together. He's given me such peace about everything. I'm so grateful I met him," the North Carolina native told People. The couple’s surprise wedding took place in South Carolina and their nuptials were apparently kept under wraps so well that guests thought they were attending an engagement party instead of the actual wedding!

"Emily met a bunch of relatives at a restaurant for lunch and they had presents for her," an insider told Us Weekly. People began to wonder if there was more than just a simple party going on after several limousines showed up.

The ceremony was low-key, with Maynard reportedly opting to wear cowboy boots underneath a light pink Modern Trousseau gown. Though their 200 guests were shocked, the couple had planned the wedding for three months, People reported.

The starlet, 26, became engaged last January.

"He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings," she said at the time. Ricky is the 8-year-old daugther she had with former fiancé Ricky Hendrick, who tragically died in a plane crash in 2004.

"It was so sweet! Ricki loves him more than she likes me!" Maynard gushed.

"It's just as much her day as it is mine because it's a big change for her," the bride, who now goes by Emily Johnson, told People. "She just adores Tyler and he is so good with her. He loves her as if she was his own daughter. It's been so great to see their relationship grow."

Before the wedding, she explained on Good Morning America one of the things that makes their relationship so strong is she met her now-husband through their shared belief in religion and strong friendship.

"We met at church," Maynard said in January, according to Us Weekly. "I think that’s why our relationship is so good now, because we started out as friends."

Before Johnson and Holm, Maynard was engaged to Brad Wolmack after she appeared on Season 15 of the “Bachelor.” By May 2011 their relationship was over.
