As news spread Monday that Myles Munroe was among nine passengers killed in a Sunday-night plane crash in the Bahamas, people took to social media to mourn the loss of the pastor and motivational speaker. Munroe, his wife and daughter died in the crash, Forbes reported. They were heading to the 2014 Global Leadership Forum, which he organized.

Munroe was traveling to the conference in a Lear 36 Executive Jet, which crashed in Freeport upon landing, the Associated Press reported. Delayed Sunday by heavy rain, an investigation into the crash was scheduled to launch Monday. The Bahamas Tribune reported the plane hit a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard and exploded. There were no survivors.

The leadership forum will continue, according to a post on the pastor's official Facebook page. "This is what Dr. Munroe would have wanted," the post read. "Please keep his family and the ministry in your prayers."

Munroe, 60, founded the Bahamas Faith Ministries International. He authored more than 70 books and worked as a lecturer, teacher and life coach, according to the organization's website. He received the Silver Jubilee Award in 1998 for his service to the Bahamas as well as the Queen's Birthday Honors of the Order of the British Empire Award. Munroe and his wife, Ruth Ann, had two children: Charisa, who reportedly died in the crash, and Chairo.

Former U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young, who is scheduled to speak at the forum, released a statement on the Munroes' passing. "Ambassador Young expresses his deep sadness over the tragic death of his friends Dr. Myles and Mrs. Ruth Munroe," it read. "He offers condolences to the Munroe family and the families of the other souls who lost their lives as a result of this shocking plane crash."

In recognition of Munroe's death, Twitter users posted famous quotes and videos from the pastor Monday. Take a look:
