Who Is Emma Watson’s ‘Boyfriend’ William ‘Mack’ Knight? Feminist Slams Naysayers Who Criticized Her Vanity Fair Pictures

“Beauty and the Beast” actress Emma Watson might be living a real-life fairy tale of her own. The famous feminist, who started the HeForShe campaign, has reportedly dated boyfriend William “Mack” Knight for more than a year.

The last time they were pictured together was in February during an outing in London, Just Jared reported at the time. Knight, 35, isn’t involved in the entertainment industry. He’s a businessman and tech entrepreneur. It’s unclear how the duo met.

Watson, 26, was criticized after she showed parts of her breasts in Vanity Fair last week. Many called her a hypocrite, insinuating she apparently cannot be sophisticated and sexy. Watson explained the criticism succinctly: “They were saying that I couldn’t be a feminist and ... and have boobs,” she told the BBC Sunday.

The backlash proved to Watson that there is much about feminism that is still misconstrued. “It just always reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is,” she told Reuters Monday. “Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it. It’s very confusing.” She added: “I’m confused. Most people are confused. No, I’m just always just quietly stunned.”

Watson did her photoshoot with acclaimed photographer Tim Walker. “…It felt incredibly artistic and I’ve been so creatively involved and engaged with Tim and I’m so thrilled about how interesting and beautiful the photographs were,” she said. “We’d been doing so many crazy things on that shoot.”

“Beauty and the Beast” is slated to debut in theaters March 17.
