Renee Zellweger recently walked the red carpet for her new movie My One and Only, at the Paris theater in New York. The film is the true story of a cross country odyssey, made by the single-mother of actor George Hamilton (played by Zellweger), for the purpose of recruiting one of her old boyfriends into the role of stepfather to her two sons.
The film, set in 1953, is a beautiful showcase of period dresses, and the film's premiere brought out a long list of designers; Donna Karan, Rachel Roy, Mark Badgley and James Mischka were all in attendance on the red carpet. Fashion darling Renee Zellweger, as usual, appeared in a cocktail dress by Carolina Herrera, her red carpet go-to. The one shouldered black satin dress was accented by a jeweled belt and nude pumps. Renee, who rarely is seen wearing much jewelry, wore a diamond encrusted rose shaped cocktail ring on her forefinger. When asked whose ring she was wearing, Zellweger replied: Oh, it's uh, it's uh, hang on, I'll tell you just now - Winston, no. It's not Harry Winston. Hang on, just one second. The ring in fact was from Fred Leighton, who frequently lends Renee jewelry for red carpets and awards shows. She should know better!
Do you feel celebrities should wear more of their own jewelry to events? Do you think that if they borrow a piece, they should be well versed to give that brand some good PR? Renee, you must brush up!!!
