Irish model and singer Nadia Forde denies that she’s dating Rory McIlroy, the 25-year-old golfer who recently ended a high-profile relationship with tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.

Forde, who recently released her debut single "BPM" in Ireland, has been linked to McIlroy ever since last October when the pair was spotted at the same pub in Dublin, the Irish Independent reports. The rumors are so pervasive that Paddy Power, a gambling website, offers odds of 6-to-1 that Forde will be McIlroy’s next girlfriend.

However, in an interview with the Independent, Forde said that her rumored relationship with McIlroy does not exist. “No, no. I wouldn’t be putting my money on me now if I was anybody at home,” she told the newspaper in an exclusive interview. “I’ve heard so many stories about myself with so many people, it just becomes laughable at this stage.”

“We have mutual friends, that’s it. We’ve met a few times, that’s it,” she added. “I think I’m being dragged into something that has nothing to do with me.”

When asked if she had anything to do with the end of McIlroy’s engagement to Wozniacki, Forde remained defensive. “Stop, you’re being bold now. You’re going too far,” Forde said. […] “Nadia’s love life is pretty nonexistent at the moment, and that’s fine. It’s not my top priority.”

On May 21, McIlroy announced that he had ended his relationship with Wozniacki. “The problem is mine,” he said in a statement. “The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realize that I wasn’t ready for all that marriage entails. […] There is no right way to end a relationship that has been so important to two people. I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we have had.”

Meanwhile, a source told the New York Post’s Page Six that McIlroy broke up Wozniacki over concerns that she was affecting his golf game. “Rory’s game hasn’t been as consistently good in the time he has been with Caroline. He was a young guy in love and was flying around the world to see her play in tournaments or meet up with her. He was missing practice rounds. It was a distraction,” the source said.

In late May, Wozniacki discussed the breakup with reporters after her early exit from the French Open. “You’re not prepared for something like this, and it came as a bit of a shock,” Wozniacki told reporters after the loss. “I just tried to prepare the best that I could and really tried to focus on my match and on what I had to do out there.”
