Princess Beatrice is creating a media frenzy over the unique (others say awkward) hat that she wore for the Royal Wedding.

So who is the designer behind the madness? It was Irish-born, Philip Treacy. Treacy has also been know to create hats for Sex and The City star, Sarah Jessica Parker, and pop fashion icon, Lady Gaga.

My inspiration was beauty and elegance. It's a 21st century royal wedding, Treacy told HollywoodLife.com.
