As of late, embattled TV personality Steve Harvey can’t stay out of the headlines. The “Family Feud” host was accused of “murdering” his ex-wife’s soul in a $60 million lawsuit filed against him Wednesday. But two days later, Harvey denied the claims made by second wife Mary Vaughn.

Harvey and Vaughn have one child together, Wynton Harvey. She lost custody of him during their divorce battle.

Vaughn broke her silence in a video posted to YouTube by her lawyer April 20. “Every day I wake up, Wynton is on my mind. All day, every day,” she said. “I cry throughout the day, because I feel like somebody reached in and pulled Wynton out of me. That’s how I feel, because we were very close.”

Vaughn claimed the law was being turned against her. “Obviously, no one heard me and no one listened to me because my child was taken out of my yard. It was like [being] in a bad movie or a third world country or something,” she said.

Vaughn claimed she kept build Harvey’s empire, saying she was with him before he was rich and famous.

The video, titled “Mary Harvey 2017 [Tells] How Wynton Was Taken From Her,” was viewed more than 75,000 times. The simple description for the video says, “The real Truth.”

In the suit filed by lawyer Essie Berry, Harvey’s ex claimed she was subjected to “prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering.” The suit further alleged Vaughn “attempted suicide by self-medicating [in] an effort to stop the pain.”

She is suing for “soul murdering,” emotional distress, child endangerment, torture, kidnapping, breach of contract and conspiracy against rights.

It’s not the first time Vaughn posted a video to YouTube about her custody battle. She did so in 2011, claiming Harvey cheated on her with current wife Marjorie.

“Am I angry? Yes,” Vaughn told Dallas-Fort Worth's Fox 4 from jail in 2013. “I missed six years of my son's life and I can't get those years back.” She was arrested after a judge found her in contempt of court.

His lawyer, Brandon R. Williams, responded to the suit in a statement to Entertainment Tonight Online Friday. “Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit,” the statement read. “The complaint is merit-less, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the complaint.”

At one point in his life, Harvey was homeless. “I'm running from homelessness,” the TV host told People Magazine last year. “I can't ever be in that position again. If my show gets canceled, I've got three more. I don't have any free time, but I have 12 jobs.”

“It kills me when I hear very successful people say, ‘I always knew I would get here,’” he said. “I didn't. I always hoped I would get somewhere, but this is above and beyond. My imagination didn't even go this big.”

Harvey, 60, divorced from Vaughn in 2005. They were married in 1996.
