Actress January Jones recently revealed she is losing her hair in clumps.

The "Mad Men" star showed up to Sunday's Screen Actors Guild awards with her hair swept back, and aesthetics wasn’t the only reason.

During an interview with Britain's Grazia Daily, the Hollywood starlet said her hair is falling out from dyeing it so many different colors.

"I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps," Jones said. "I've been blonde, red with extensions ... then blonde, then black, and now blonde again. I'm going to have to shave it off and wear a wig."

Jones revealed that she prefers to be blonde since when her hair is dyed dark it makes her feel “invisible.”

“I didn’t get treated differently when I was red-headed, but when I went dark for a few months, I was suddenly invisible. Not just as a celebrity, but to my friends and family. I was like, "Come on you guys, it’s me!’”

"My son recognizes me in photos when I am blonde," she told the publication. "He says 'Mama.'"

Buzzfeed joked that Jones showed up to the awards as a David Bowie impersonator, but her look seems to have won mixed reviews with the general public.

If the blonde siren continues to dye her hair it seems like she’ll have no other choice than to wear a wig.

The actress plays a former prostitute who meets a fanatical religious leader in her latest movie, “Sweetwater,” being released at an undisclosed date in 2013.
