Hours after Britney Spears announced the tour she was planning on co-headlining with Enrique Iglesias on Good Morning America, Iglesias announced he was backing away from it.

Everything was set for the tour, as Spears had even posted the schedule on her website. The tour was set to begin June 17 in Sacramento, Calif., and end on August 13 in Toronto.

TMZ is reporting that lawyers and agents for Spears and Iglesias were working on the details of the agreement for weeks. They worked to make Iglesias appear as a co-headliner.

Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will not be touring together. Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album 'Euphoria,' his spokesperson told Reuters.

Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone.

TMZ is reporting that Iglesias had many conversations with people connected to the tour and felt that in reality he was Spears' opening act rather than co-headliner and therefore wanted out.

TMZ is reporting that the deal was very favorable for Iglesias but Iglesias would be taking the stage before Spears and that did not sit well with him.
