Jennifer Lawrence is on top of the world. Fresh off perhaps her biggest year yet as one of the highest grossing and most popular actresses in the world, she is already starting to clean up at 2015 awards shows as well. Most recently, Lawrence scored at the 41st annual People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, winning two major awards.

Lawrence, 24, took home the awards for Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Action Movie Actress -- no big surprise after her starring roles in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” in 2014. In addition to her action-packed roles, Lawrence has also become America’s Sweetheart. By photobombing celebrities on red carpets and tripping at awards shows, she has managed to fall right into fans’ hearts. No wonder the people voted for her their Favorite Actress.

But there was no tripping Wednesday night at the People’s Choice Awards and no red carpet photobombing either. Lawrence was not present at the Hollywood award show, despite winning two accolades. Instead, she was in New York, where she was spotted braving the cold after, earlier this week, getting dinner with Coldplay front man Chris Martin in Los Angeles. Lawrence and Martin, 37, were speculated to be dating in early 2014, but reportedly broke up in October. Now it appears the couple is giving the romance another shot.

What the actress was doing in New York and why she skipped the awards is a matter for speculation. But with a busy career and, now, a budding relationship, it's no surprise that she had other places to be Wednesday night. Here's hoping fans will get another chance to see their favorite awards show darling at one of the other awards events this year.
