The Duggar family announced another engagement Tuesday, but it wasn’t for eldest daughter Jana Duggar. Instead, Jinger Duggar revealed that her boyfriend Jeremy Vuolo proposed and the two are set to get married. Jinger will be the third Duggar daughter to tie the knot, following behind sisters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald who married their husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald in 2014.
Even though Jana still isn’t officially courting anyone and has not walked down the aisle yet, don’t feel too bad for the former “19 Kids & Counting” star. Jana sometimes dishes on her love life, and it appears that she’s in no rush to marry and would rather wait until she finds the perfect guy.
Many of the Duggar siblings have gotten married at relatively young ages, but Jana is 26 and still without a ring on her finger. On a March episode of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar admitted that she gets approached a lot by potential suitors but has not found the “right one.”
“I don’t really know what the next five years look like,” she said (via Entertainment Tonight). “I guess in some ways [I’ve] got hopes and dreams like, ‘Well, maybe I’ll meet the one, and get married and have kids.’” She added: “I’m not just out to get married to the first one that comes along. I mean, sometimes it can be tempting. … [Especially] in those moments where your siblings, who are married and have little ones, are going out on dates and doing their things.”
Jana, however, did say that she knows exactly what she’s looking for and would prefer if her future boyfriend is a “hard-working guy versus an office job guy.” The TLC star explained that she likes for her beau to have “dirt under the nails.”
In the past Jana has been linked to several different guys, including Christian football player Tim Tebow. It was reported that the pair was secretly courting last year but her cousin Amy Duggar dismissed the rumor saying Jana had never met Tebow. Jana has also been romantically linked to family friend Zach Bates.
Radar Online reported that Zach, who stars on “Bringing Up Bates” with his large family, wanted to court Jana but when he asked her father he told him no because his daughter wasn’t interested. “She wasn’t attracted to him and just didn’t see it working out,” the source said, adding that Jana is “extremely picky” with her suitors. “She wants the real deal and won’t settle for less. She’s more goal-orientated that some of her siblings. For her, it’s not just about being married.”
Hopefully, Jana will meet her Prince Charming soon.
