President Barack Obama called Kanye West a jackass after the incident with Taylor Swift at the VMA's Sunday.

Obama said West did something really inappropiate referring to the moment when Swift was giving her acceptance speech after receiving the award for Best Female Video at the VMA's, and West snatched from her the microphone and claimed Beyonce's video was the best of all time.

The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, Obama said. He's a jackass, he continued.

The audiotape of Obama's comments was first published by TMZ.com Tuesday. It was recorded just before Obama went on camera to do an interview with CNBC on Monday.
