San Jose-based consumer electronics company CISCO System Inc. has announced that the company will manufacture its new Cius tablet computer at the end of July.

The device will have a 7-inch screen and will be powered by Google’s Android software. The company first revealed about the tablet at the Cisco Live conference on June, 2010.

The tablet was sent for beta testing in January this year and was released to a selected group of customers in late March.

The Cius will only have Wi-Fi and will be powered by Verizon Communications Inc. and AT&T Inc. The company said, an upgraded 4G version will come later. The Cius will be priced at $750 according to a Brothersoft report.

Cisco will enter a market where its competitors will include big names like Apple and HP.
