Bumbling anchorman Ron Burgundy has finally found his calling: selling Dodge Durangos.

After the release of nine Funny or Die-produced commercials last month featuring Will Ferrell playing one of his most-loved characters, sales of the new Durango increased by 59 percent in October, with 5,129 new cars rolling off the lot, according to a report from AdAge. Sales of the model are up 50 percent year-to-year.

Dodge has 61 more Burgundy commercials ready for release. A total of 70 were filmed in Los Angeles over a two-day period in August. Ferrell reprises the role in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," opening across the U.S. on Dec. 20.
