Over the past 10 years, fans of the Duggar family have watched seven of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children marry off and start families of their own. However, one of their adult children still remains unmarried in their Arkansas abode: Jana Duggar.

Jana is the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 children and is the second oldest in the family alongside her twin brother John-David. Over time, viewers have watched on the family’s TLC series “Counting On” (formerly “19 Kids and Counting”) as the cast has entered into courtships, engagements, and marriages. Still, a 28-years-old, Jana remains unattached.

While her relationship status has always been a talking point among fans of the religious brood, the announcement of John-David’s courtship and now engagement to Abbie Grace Burnett has only intensified the conversations. So, why is Jana still single and will she be the family’s next big courtship announcement?

In a 2017 interview with Crown of Beauty Magazine, which she did with her sisters Jessa Seewald, Jinger Vuolo and Joy-Anna Forsyth, who are all now married, Jana opened up about her love life.

“I know how it feels to wait for ‘Prince Charming’ to come along. I’m still waiting. Waiting is not always easy. Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can’t go along because your not part of ‘that’ group,” Jana said.

After years of waiting for her “Prince Charming,” it’s very likely Jana could be the next Duggar to start courting. At 28, Jana is currently the oldest Duggar daughter and offspring of Jim Bob and Michelle’s still living at home, so it seems likely she could be the next one to enter into an official courtship. However, she does have some competition if she wants to be the subject of the next big announcement.

Currently, there are three Duggar boys who are off-age, with twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah being 19 and Jason being 18. While the Duggar sons who married didn’t do so until they were in their early 20s, any of the three could easily start a relationship and have a long courtship or engagement if they plan to follow in the footsteps of their married brothers.
