Jennifer Lopez is hopeful that her portrayal of Harlee Santos in “Shades of Blue” will earn her a nomination at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards this year.

On her Instagram account, the actress posted a photo of Harlee looking at herself in the mirror. At the bottom part of the photo are the words, “For Your Emmy Consideration.” Lopez captioned the snap by saying that she is proud to give life to her detective character in the hit NBC series.

“Shades of Blue” has also been renewed for Season 3, and Lopez is expected to reprise her role alongside Ray Liotta’s Wozniak, Warren Kole’s Stahl and more.

The official list of nominees for the 2017 Emmy Awards will be released on July 13. As of late, TV Line released a list of their dream nominees for the outstanding lead actress in a drama series category, but Lopez did not make the cut. Their choices are “How to Get Away With Murder” lead star Viola Davis, “The Leftovers” actress Carrie Coon, “The Crown” actress Claire Foy, “This Is Us” star Mandy Moore, “The Handmaid’s Tale” lead star Elizabeth Moss and “Westworld” actress Evan Rachel Wood.

Meanwhile, nomination ballots for the 69th annual Primetime Emmy awards went live on their official website on June 12. The names of nominees must be submitted to Ernst & Young by 10 p.m. on June 26. On July 13, the names of the official nominees will be unveiled at 8:30 p.m. Winners will be revealed on Sept. 17 on CBS.

TV shows and actors who are qualified for a nomination are those that air on primetime or between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. The eligibility period runs from June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017. In order to be qualified for a nomination, the show must air on broadcast or cable television. Nominees are also chosen from entries that pay a certain fee to the academy and meet a specific criterion. The Emmys also utilize a straight voting procedure to determine their nominees. This means that there is no system of ranked votes, but raw numbers are the ones used.
