For the time being, Miss California, Carrie Prejean will be keeping her crown but not her duties as, according to pageant organizers, has violated her contract. Her fate is expected to be announced on Tuesday by Miss USA owner Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, the pageant organizers have elected to make Miss California runner-up Tami Farrell the pageant's ambassador and she'll make appearances throughout the Golden State this year.

The organizers say they haven't been able to get in contact with Prejean to get her to fulfill her state pageant duties since she sparked a firestorm at the Miss USA pageant about her anti-same-sex marriage views.

Carrie has been unavailable to us, to her sponsors and to her responsibilities as Miss California USA because of her commitment to outside organizations, Miss California USA co-executive director Shanna Moakler said at a news conference in Beverly Hills on Monday.
