Is Ricky Martin finally going to tie the knot with his long-term partner? Not so fast...

Spanish language newspaper El Nuevo Dia reported on Sunday that Ricky Martin will marry his boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez Abella on Jan. 28 in New York City, according to a source close to the singer.

El Nuevo Dia even went as far as to delineate claims of who the best man would be in the wedding and where it would be held.

Other reports claimed that Martin's best man would be Angelo Medina, the newspaper claimed. Another story claimed that a wedding reception would be held in Miami with guests anticipated to be Ednita Nazario, Charly Masso of Menudo, and Ángelo Medina and others from Menudo.

However, Martin's rep denied the claims the couple is getting married, which has trickled down into the rumor mill, namely to Perez Hilton and Gossip Cop.

It is a completely incorrect report, Martin's publicist said in a statement. Ricky Martin has no set plans to marry.

Last year, Martin hinted that he and his Puerto Rican financial analyst partner, were engaged when he made comments about the right for equality in marriage.

It's what I want, that you say no to discrimination, for equality among us humans is a reality in my country, Martin said last June.

Martin first came out as gay March 29, 2010 in a post on his official Web site. The first mention of his boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez Abella was nearly one year later in March 2011 during the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Awards.

Today I can say that I am free and, therefore, definitely I have to thank my parents for supporting me so much and for their unconditional love, my friends, my family, my fans and my partner and boyfriend, Carlos, Ricky Martin said.
