FakeAWish.com reported that Smith fell to his death from a cliff in New Zealand. The news started circulating Twitter with people repeating the news. Thankfully, this is just a rumor as Smith is alive and well.

The report claimed that Smith fell of Kauri Cliffs. This cliff seems to be a common target for celebrity death hoaxes. It had been reported that George Clooney, Tom Cruise and Jeff Goldblum had all died there. All were just rumors.

Another celebrity that fell victim to Internet rumors was Mick Jagger. Twitter played a big role in spreading the false news as RIP Mick Jagger was a Trending Topic. Justin Bieber, Johnny Depp, Taylor Lautner, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus and Paris Hilton have all been victims of death rumors on the Internet.
