After more than 120 superstars were revealed for "WWE 2K16," many had assumed that the game’s roster was complete. However it seems like 2K Games intentionally kept one of the superstars a secret, as NXT general manager William Regal once again graces the virtual ring for "WWE 2K16."

The situation is quite similar to last year’s wrestling simulator where Regal was an unlockable character, but wasn’t announced beforehand. Players had to compete in My Career mode and defeat William Regal in his retirement match in order to unlock the underrated superstar.

Since 2K Games confirmed his WCW persona -- Lord Steven Regal -- many assumed that this would be the only version of the underrated superstar in the game, but that isn’t the case. Power Up Gaming reported that Regal’s WWE identity is in the game, as fans can see him when they download the official roster wallpaper.

Fans can download the official roster wallpaper from the WWE 2K site. They will be able to see Regal between the T-800 and Kalisto in his current look. It’s a bit odd that he wasn’t officially announced in the game, but it is a nice little surprise for fans who appreciate his work and want to play as the most current version of the wrestler.

Whether Regal is an unlockable character or is available from the get go hasn’t been confirmed. However, it does bring the roster up from 124 to 125, making the large roster even bigger than it already was. While some may complain that they will be getting two versions of the superstar, others will probably be glad to have a past and present version of Regal in the game.

"WWE 2K16" will be available on Oct. 27 for the PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Fans that pre-order the game will gain exclusive access to two versions of the T-8oo from "Terminator" and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."

A season pass was recently announced for the game and will include 30 playable characters, including Trish Stratus, Lita and Samoa Joe. There will also be a digital deluxe version of the game, which immediately comes with the season pass.
